The strange world of solvable problems: pen and paper coding with Code Your Future

Code Your Future (CFY) is a non-profit organization that helps refugees and those on low-income start great careers in tech.

Highlights of the event

  • This event was hosted in Manchester, United Kingdom, and the main objective of the event was to enhance the logical thinking skills of potential students who are currently applying for CYF courses. They aimed to show participants that coding can be done without a computer. 
  • The speakers and event hosts were Mitchell Lloyd and Alicia Easley.
  • The event had a total of 15 participants, and lasted for two hours. To help the organization in the different game stations, they had five dedicated volunteers. Each station was designed to stimulate critical thinking.
